You won. Now what?

NOYNOY got the sympathy votes, ERAP got the popularity votes, and GIBO/GORDON got the intelligent votes. Unfortunately, there are only few intelligent voters nowadays.

My greatest fear transpired yesterday. Noynoy snatched victory from the jaws of defeat to secure another Aquino slot in the list of Philippine presidents. Not that I’m an advocate of  ”Anti-Noynoy Campaign.” In fact, in the spirit of democratic centralism, I respect the decision of the majority of the Filipinos who voted for him.

I guess “skeptical” is the right term. I’m one of the Filipinos whose trusts have not yet won by Noynoy. It’s hard to hand things over to someone who hasn’t done anything yet. I quote, “Walang OJT sa Malacañang.” True enough, experience elicits trust and destroys qualms.

Sen. Aquino, this is not a discouragement; take this as a challenge. You have six years (or less) to prove us wrong. Good luck.

That’s true. “Kung walang corrupt, walang mahirap.” Those are big words from someone who hasn’t done anything remarkable. Noynoy will be in under the watchful eyes of the intelligent voters.

It’s not so hard to guess what kind of voters we have in this country. We got action stars as senators and the likes of Imelda Marcos and GMA in the congress. I’m particularly surprised with Imelda. She’s not even an Ilocana but she won in Ilocos Norte.

  2. But I have nothing against the Marcoses. *laughs* The Ilocanos really love them. Inalagaan kasi nila ang Ilocandia nung mga presidente pa si Ferdinand.

  4. I agree with you. Sen. Noy hasn’t done anything yet. But for the umpteenth time, somehow, I’m thankful that he decided to run for presidency. Why? ‘Cause I’d rather have someone who hasn’t prove himself yet than some convicted former president. Pah! Garapal! Ha ha! I hope Sen. Noynoy can prove us all wrong..

And, btw.. Thanks for hopping in my site. :)

  5. @shayne: Isn’t that weird. Erap comes in second. That only means that, most Filipinos are masochists. They’ve been hurt, but still begs for more pain.
